A small historical reference

City in western Kazakhstan, the year of foundation - 1869. Formerly called Ak-Tyube, Aktyubinsk. The city was founded by the troops of the Russian Empire in 1869, the strengthening of Ak-Tube on the left bank of the Ilek River, at the confluence of the rivers Ilek and Kargaly. March 25, 1891 received the status of a town as part of the Turgay region and was renamed in Aktyubinsk. In 1902, after the city was laid Tashkent railway links Orenburg - Tashkent, which contributed to the further development of economy of Aktobe.
