A small historical reference
Johvi - Centre County Ida-Viru County, located in north-eastern Estonia, 4 km from the southern city of Kohtla-Jarve (Ahtme - one of the six districts of the city). The first written mention - 1241. In 1869, during the construction of the Baltic Railway built a railway station Ievve.
Attractions - Lutheran Church Mihkel (mid XIII century), Puhtitsa Dormition Monastery stauropegic, in 1891 moved to the village Kuremäe, the Church of the Epiphany (construction began July 10, 1894).
