A small historical reference
Shusha - center of Shusha region of Azerbaijan, located in the south-west of the country, in the foothills of the Karabakh ridge between the rivers Karkar and Vararakn. Date of establishment - 1752. Earlier names - Panakhabad, in honor of its founder - Panah Ali Khan, the founder and first ruler of the Karabakh khanate, the founder of the dynasty of Javanshir khan. The city was founded as a fortress.
Attractions - Palace of Karabakh khans (XVIII-XIX centuries.) Zhamgaryanov Hospital (1900), water pipes, "Khan Kyzy" and "Tatevos" real school (1881), printing of "Armenian spiritual body" (1827), printing "Mirzadzhan Mahtesi Hakobiants" (1877), locks Ibrahim Khalil Khan and his daughter Kara Boyuk-Khanum (the beginning of the XVIII century).
