A small historical reference

Ashtarak - the center of Aragatsotn region of Armenia, located in the central part of the country, on both banks of the river Kasakh. The first written mention - IX century. One of the oldest cities of Armenia with numerous monuments.

Attractions - Old Bridge trёharochny (XIII century), church Tsiranavor ("Orange", V century), church Karmravor ("Red", VII century), church St. Marine (1821), church Spitakavor (V-VI century), church St. Sarkis (XII century).
