Alchevsk - a town in the Luhansk region of Ukraine, located in the east of the country, on the White River. Founding date - May 26, 1895. Earlier names - Yurevka (until 1903), Alchevsk (until 1932), Voroshilov (until 1961), Komunarskiy (until 1991). The city history begins with the construction of an industrialist, banker and merchant of the first guild Alexei Kirillovich Alchevsk Metallurgical Plant Donetsk-Yurevka Metallurgical Society (DYMO). Now Alchevsk - a major industrial center (Metallurgical Plant, Coke Plant, bakery, dairy, clothing and haberdashery factory, household goods).
