History of city Rokiskis in photos
A small historical reference
Rokiskis - center of Rokiskis district in Panevezys County, located in north-eastern Lithuania, on the border with Latvia. Date of foundation and the first written mention - 1499. At the end of XIX century in the city functioned Catholic church, a synagogue, a hospice, a school, a brewery.
Sights - The Church of St. Matthew (1877, in the church an organ of the company "Walker"), the palace of the Lithuanian Tizengauzenu.
