History of city Palanga in photos

A small historical reference

Palanga - a resort town with the municipality as part of Klaipeda County, located in north-west Lithuania, the Baltic Sea and stretches along the coast for 25 km. The first written mention - 1161, the date of foundation - 1253.

Sights - a pier stretching into the sea 480 meters (1884-1888 years); Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary (1897-1907, the tallest building in the city, the Botanical Gardens (1897), a chapel in the park (1869).
