Zilupe - Center Zilupe region, located on the east of Latvia, Latgale, on the border with Russia (Pskov Region), in the upper reaches of the river Zilupe (Blue), a tributary of the River Great. Founded in 1900 as a railway station "Rozenovskaya" (the station was built on the former land of Baron Rosen) on the Moscow - Windau. After World War II opened - factory floor "Metallist" (child's sled and consumer goods), sewing and knitting workshops, bakery.
