A small historical reference

Skrunda - the center of the edge of Skrunda, a small town in Kurzeme region in the west of Latvia. The first written mention - 1253. In 1368, the Teutonic Order built a castle in Skrunda, which has not survived to the present.

Interesting fact - near the radar complex was the second generation of Soviet radar stations over gorizontnyh system for early missile warning Dnestr-M (radar "Dar'yal").
